This is the most prestigious festival among the three festivals that are held annually at the temple of Lord Sri Krishna at Thrippunithura. During the eight day festival, the most attractive and sacred function is the procession with the idol of the deity, which is held two times a day, Seeveli in the morning around 7.30am (except the final day) and Vilakku ezhunnallippu in the late evening (first three days at 8.30pm and next four days at 7pm) accompanied by many caparisoned elephants and Paanchari melam (The fusion of traditional instruments with the main instrument Chenda, a drum). On the eve of the final day is Pallivetta and on the final day evening is Aarattu. Processions for Pallivetta and Aarattu are also accompanied by caparisoned elephants, traditional percussions etc. The cultural performances held during the festival days are Ottanthullal, Paadhakom, Kurathiyaattom, Thayambaka, Ashtapathi, Nagaswaram, musical concerts etc. Kathakali is staged on all these days, during night
