Ulsavam at Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagavathi Kshethram, Angadippuram, Malappuram District

At Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagavathi Kshethram- The main event of this festival is Aarattu. The same is performed 21 times, in a sequence of one in the morning and one in the evening, for ten days and the final Aarattu on the eleventh day evening. Tenth day (03 April) evening is Pallivetta

Vela and Thalappoli at Puthanaalkkal Bhagavathi Kshethram, Cherpulassery, Palakkad District

11-13 Feb 2026: Vela and Thalappoli at Cherpulassery Puthanaalkkal Bhagavathi Kshethram

These are the concluding days of the festival at Cherppulassery Puthanalkkal Bhagavathi Kshethram. Here are the highlights.

11 Feb: Procession with elephants and Panchavadyam (3 pm, 3-4 hours) in the temple premise.

Tholpavakoothu at Puthanaalkkal Bhagavathi Kshethram, Cherpulassery, Palakkad District

Tholpavakoothu, traditional shadow puppetry of Kerala is being performed at Cherpulassery Puthanalkkal Bhagavathi Kshethram on all these days during night (from 10 pm to 2 am), depicting Ramayanam stories as a ritual.

Ashtamirohini at Guruvayur Sreekrishna kshethram, Thrissur district

14 Sept 2025: Ashtamirohini at Guruvayur Sreekrishna kshethram- As part of Ashtamirohini (Birth day anniversary of Lord Krishna) celebrations, a grand procession with three caparisoned elephants, Melam/panchavadyam etc is held in the morning (10am to 11.30am) from Nenmeni Balarama kshethram (2km from Sreekrishna temple). Late night (10pm-12 nt) Krishnanattam is performed in the auditorium outside the temple complex. Another highlight of the day is Uriyadi, which is held (12 noon-3pm) at different places outside the temple compound.

Ashtamirohini at Ravipuram Sreekrishna Swani Kshethram, Ernakulam

14 Sept 2025: Ravipuram Sreekrishna Swani Kshethram- As part of the Ashtamirohini (Birth Day of Lord Krishna) celebrations, three processions are held in the temple premise (8am, 4pm & 11pm to 2hrs), all with caparisoned elephants, Melam/panchavadyam etc.

Kazcha Seeveli at Thiruvambadi Sreekrishna Kshethram, Thrissur

14 Sept 2025: At  Thiruvambadi Sreekrishna Kshethram- Kazcha seeveli is performed in the morning (8am-11.30am) with five caparisoned elephants and Melam/Panchavadyam in the temple premise in connection with Ashtami Rohini (Birth Day of Lord Krishna) celebrations.

Uriyadi at Nambikkal Sreekrishnaswamy Kshethram, Thiruvananthapuram

14 Sept 2025: Uriyadi at Nambikkal Sreekrishnaswamy Kshethram- The sportive ritual Uriyadi is performed here in the evening (5pm to one hour approx.) as part of the Sreekrishna Jayanthi (Birth day anniversary of Lord Sreekrishna) celebrations. In Uriyadi, the performer enacts the childhood of Sreekrishna and to break the pots in the pot hanger using a stick to collect the milk/butter from the pots. In this sportive performance the devotees disrupts the action of the performer by various means, but finally the performer breaks the pot.  

Vinayaka Chathurthi at Tali Mahaganapathy Balasubrahmania Kshethram, Kozhikode

27 Aug 2025: Vinayaka Chathurthi at Tali Mahaganapathy Balasubrahmania temple- On this day a grand procession is held in the morning (9.30am to 12.30pm) with caparisoned elephants, Panchavadyam etc. and goes around the streets near the temple. Similar procession is held in the evening too (6pm- 7pm).

Uriyadi at Evoor Sreekrishna Swami Kshethram, Alappuzha district

Uriyadi at Evoor Sreekrishna Swami Kshethram- Uriyadi is performed here as part of the Sreekrishna Jayanthi (birth day of Lord Sreekrishna) celebrations. Processions from three neighbouring areas starts in the morning (8.30am) with traditional orchestras, colourful floats etc and is lead by a performer who enacts the role of Lord Sreekrishna in his childhood. The sportive ritual Uriyadi, break the pots in the pot hanger, is performed on the way in numerous places. The processions conclude at the temple by evening (6pm) after breaking all the pots on the way, mounted by devotees.
