25 Dec- The ceremonial start of the festival

26 Dec-Evening: The main performances on the second day are Pulikandan Vellattam  (8pm), Thottams and Pulikandan Theyyam (by midnight). 

27 Dec-Morning (from 9am to noon): performances are Vellarangara Bhagavathi Theyyam, Vishnumoorthy Theyyam, Panayakkattu Bhagavathi Theyyam and Pulikandan Vellattam (7pm) after sunset.

Desavilakku at Mammiyur Temple, Guruvayur, thrissur district

Ayyappan vilakku aka Desavilakku is a folk ritual performed to propitiate Lord Ayyappan (Also known as Dharmasasthavu). The highlights of this ritual are evening procession (6pm- 9pm) with Paalakombu (From Guruvayur temple), caparisoned elephants, Thalappoli,Nadaswaram, Panchavadyam etc,  Ayyappan Pattu,  mid night procession, Kanalaattam, Thiri uhichil etc.  Organised by Mammiyur Ayyappa Bhakha Sangam.

Pooram at Ayinnur Cheenikkal Dharmasastha Kshethram, Pazhanjhi, Thrissur district

At Ayinnur Cheenikkal Dharmasastha Kshethram- The procession starts by afternoon from different places with caparisoned elephants, Melam, Panchavadyam etc and join the temple premise by 4.30pm for a joint display. After this, Kavadi groups and other folk forms like Poothan, Thira, Karimkali etc visits the temple.  A ceremonial procession with caparisoned elephants and Melam will be held on the next day early morning (around 4.30am).   

Theyyam at Neeliyar Kottam, Kannur

Theyyam of the deity Neeliyar Bhagavathi is performed on this day evening (5pm-6pm), as ritual offering. This sacred grove with full of foliage is a typical model of a traditional Kavu (sacred grove). Theyyam is a performing ritual art of Kerala, confined to the areas Kannur and Kasaragod districts. 

Location/access: situated at Mangattuparamba (Nr.Kannur University Campus), about 16km from Kannur.
